白石温麺は、今から四百年ほど前、親孝行の息子が胃病を患った父親につくって食べさせた事から生まれました。

Shiroishi Umen was born about 400 years ago when a son who was filial to his parents made it and fed it to his father who was suffering from stomach disease.
Lord Katakura Kojuro, the lord of Shiroishi Castle, praised this warm and caring spirit and named it "Umen" and promoted it as a local industry. It can be enjoyed warm or cold.
